Brig. Gen. Carlos P. Romulo, Resident Commissioner of the Philippines to the United States, left a sick bed at Walter Reed Hospital to present the views of the Philippine Government on H.R. 5856, Philippine Trade Act of 1946, to the Senate Finance Committee. General Romulo has been a patient at Walter Reed since last Saturday where he was ordered by Dr. Gonzalo Austria, his physician, for a complete rest. He is hospitalized with recurrent malaria.
