Description
Senator Alben W. Barkley of Kentucky looks like the Democratic National Convention's unanimous choice for Vice-President. At 70, he has spent half his life in Congress and is a loyal Democrat and party workhorse. The gray-haired Kentuckian is a widower with three children. This is a new portrait of Mr. Barkley. From: Beth Gore.
