Description
Stephen T. Early, Press Secretary and Aide at the White House for the past 12 years, prior to leaving to accepted the position as Vice-President of the Pullman Company, was presented with the Distinguished Service Medal by President Truman. The ceremony was held in the Rose Garden of the White House and was attended by the White House staff, shown in the background. From: Beth Gore
