Housing Expediter Tighe E. Woods asked for a two-year extension of rent control because of a continued critical shortage of rental housing. Woods, shown before the House Banking Committee, said that removal of rent ceilings now on the estimated 4,350,000 under control would be a serious blow to our economy. From: Beth Gore.
