Description

Ex-President Harry S. Truman, wearing cap, gown, and heavy suntan, smiles as he shakes hands with University of Hawaii President Gregg M. Sinclair (left), after receiving honorary Doctor of Humanities degree at Honolulu today. The half hour convocation was attended by some 5,500 students and faculty members. Truman will end a one-month Hawaiian vacation with his wife and their daughter, Margaret, next Tuesday when they sail for San Francisco. From: Houston Post.
