After helping his wife from the car which brought them from the airport in Kansas City, Kansas, President Harry S. Truman smilingly turns to greet crowds of fellow townsmen while Mrs. Bess Truman turns to go up to their summer home here in Independence, Missouri. The President arrived by plane tonight from Washington to vote in Thursday's primary election. From: Houston Post.
