Description

The ship John H. Quick arrives in Bordeaux, France, carrying the first Marshall Plan aid to arrive in Europe. US Ambassador to France, Jefferson Caffery, speaks at the microphone in a ceremony upon its arrival. The John H. Quick had departed from Galveston, TX, on April 17.
