Description
President Harry S. Truman (center) speaks to Princess Elizabeth of the United Kingdom (center right) during a presentation ceremony in the Rose Garden. Princess Elizabeth presented the president with an overmantel paired with English candelabra and an oil painting of flowers set in a carved gilt frame on behalf of her father, King George VI. First Lady Bess W. Truman (left) and Prince Philip (right) look on. Also present are President Truman's Naval Aide, Admiral Robert Dennison (left side of platform, fourth from left), and Military Aide General Harry Vaughan (left side of platform, right). All others are unidentified.
