Howard McGrath, Secretary of Defense George Marshall, French Ambassador to the United States Henri Bonnet, Vice President Alben Barkley, French Foreign Minister Robert Schuman, President Truman, French President Auriol, and District Commissioner John R. Young. The man speaking at the podium is unidentified. Seated in the front row on the right side of the speaker are, from left to right: First Lady Bess W. Truman, Michelle (Mrs. Vincent) Auriol, unidentified woman, Helle (Mrs. Henri) Bonnet, Margaret Truman, Alice (Mrs. Dean) Acheson, and Estelle (Mrs. J. Howard) McGrath. All others are unidentified.
