From left to right, French Ambassador to the United States Henri Bonnet, Vice-President Alben Barkley, and Senator Arthur Vandenberg at the French "Merci Train" ceremony. The train was a gift from France to the United States in recognition of U.S. aid to France after World War II. All others are unidentified.
