Description

President Carlos Prio Socarras (foreground, left) of Cuba walks with President Harry S. Truman (foreground, right) away from the presidential airplane Independence. President Socarras has just arrived at National Airport in Washington, D. C. for a visit. Standing between President Socarras and President Truman is Colonel Robert Landry. Among the group standing at the base of the stairs are, from left to right: Luis Botifoll, unidentified woman, unidentified man (partly obscured), Cuban Ambassador Guillermo Belt, Admiral William Leahy, unidentified man, Carlos Hevia, and United States Ambassador to Cuba Robert Butler. All others are unidentified.
