President Romulo Gallegos of Venezuela (foreground, left), President Harry S. Truman (foreground, right), and other unidentified dignitaries sitting on a platform in front of the county courthouse in Bolivar, Missouri. President Truman dedicated a statue to Simon Bolivar in Bolivar. Seated in the second row, visible between President Truman and President Gallegos, is the Mayor of Bolivar, Missouri, Doyle C. McCraw. Seated slightly behind President Truman is the Governor of Missouri, Phil Donnelly.
