Truman is walking away from the podium on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial ,where he addressed the closing session of the 38th annual conference of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People. Seen slightly behind Truman are Walter White (left) and Fred Vinson. All others are unidentified.
