Description
Sailors straddle a 16-inch gun on the forward turret of the U.S.S. Washington, which docked at Philadelphia to participate in the Navy Day celebration. The 25,000-ton battlewagon was built, launched and commissioned in the Philadelphia Navy Yard in 1941.
