Description
President Harry S. Truman (center of the window) stands in a window at City Hall in New York City, with Mayor Fiorello La Guardia (left of President Truman) while serenaded by a choir of Midshipmen. The plaque below him commemorates the fact that George Washington had stood near that spot while the Declaration of Independence was read to the Continental Army. President Truman is in New York to attend Navy Day. All others are unidentified. From the scrapbooks of Matt Connelly, Vol. 1.
