This is a photograph of a political cartoon by Jim Berryman. Alben Barkley (second from the right) is talking to President Harry S. Truman (right). Barkley is saying "Maybe we'd better try to get a little more for health insurance!" A man labeled as Congress is screaming, stamping on top of a paper labeled "Federal Budget," with papers with various billion dollar amounts, and another paper, "$250,000,000 for compulsory health insurance."
