Description

In the old city of Algiers, Senator James Tunnell of Delaware (center) with Senator Harold Burton (Tunnell's left, wearing glasses). Major General Harry Vaughan is behind Senator Burton, partly obscured. Both Senators are members of the Special Committee to Investigate the National Defense Program, popularly known as the Truman Committee. All others are unidentified.
