President Harry S. Truman is going down the stairs on board the USS Augusta as he leaves the ship after it docked in Newport News, Virginia. Going down the stairs, from top to bottom: unidentified sailor, Admiral William D. Leahy, Secretary of State James Byrnes, and President Truman. Others pictures are unidentified.
