King George VI of Great Britain prepares to depart the USS Augusta, after visiting President Harry S. Truman. President Truman was on board the Augusta as he returned to the United States from the Potsdam Conference. From left to right: Secretary of State James Byrnes (in civilian suit and hat), Admiral William D. Leahy (back to camera), Captain James Foskett (partly obscured by Truman and Leahy), President Truman, and King George VI. All others are unidentified.
