Description
King George VI of Great Britain gives a salute as he is piped aboard the USS Augusta by unidentified United States Navy officers and sailors. Standing next to King George VI on the stairs is Lord Halifax, British Ambassador to the United States. He is visiting President Harry S. Truman, who is on the Augusta to travel back to the United States from the Potsdam Conference.
