President Harry S. Truman views the noon meal formation from the steps of Bancroft Hall during his visit to the United States Naval Academy at Annapolis, Maryland. Foreground, from left to right: President Truman; Vice Admiral Aubrey W. Fitch, Superintendent of the Naval Academy; Secretary of the Navy James Forrestal; Admiral of the Fleet William D. Leahy; and Presidential Press Secretary Mr. Charles Ross. Standing behind Secretary Forrestal, partly obscured, is Brigadier General Harry Vaughan. All others are unidentified.
