Former President Harry S. Truman poses with four veterans of World War I who served in the 129th Field Artillery Battalion under the command of Truman when he was a captain. They are shown at the dedication of a $2 million National Guard Memorial Building in Washington, D.C. Left to right are: Sergeant Eddie Meisburger; Corporal Ed P. Downey; Former President Harry S. Truman; Corporal Frank F. Kunz; and Colonel Arthur H. Bell, all from Kansas City, Missouri. (See 66-8429.)
