Melrose Hoffman of Coaldale, Pennsylvania, in ceremony as she assumed her duties as Queen of Lions International for the Mexico City convention. On the same row as Hoffman: Miss Wisconsin, Miss Kansas, Indian Girl, Queen Melrose, Harold P. Nutter, Roy Keaton, Miss Ohio, and Miss Colorado. Aztec Indian performers in background. Sent to President Harry S. Truman by James Gildea of Coaldale, Pennsylvania, who wished to arrange for Miss Hoffman to meet President Truman.
