Description

The relationship between the river and crash site of Japanese Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto's plane, a Betty 323 bomber, which crashed at Bougainville Island. Bottom of the photo contains information regarding when the image was taken during the investigation. During the 18th year of the reign of the Japanese emperor on April 19th, day of the plane crash site was found, at 7:35, time of day picture was taken, at 1000 meters above ground. Image a part of John Brannon's investigation file during the International Military Tribunal of the Far East.
