Description
On the steps of the Los Angeles City Hall, in Los Angeles, California, Hungarian-Americans, led by actress Ilona Massey, center, carrying a banner which reads "We Want Freedom for Hungary", protest execution of Premier Imre Nagy and General Pal Maleter and of 200,000 Hungarians since 1950. Many Hungarians are wearing their national costumes. Standing beside Ms. Massey is Mayor Norris Poulson. Reverend Laszlo Kecskenethy, pastor of First Hungarian Reformed Church in San Bernardino, presided at the demonstration. Others are unidentified.
