Former president Harry S. Truman poses for a photograph with his grandson Clifton Truman Daniel during a Christmas visit in 1959. Daniel is riding the rocking horse he received from Santa. On the back of the photograph is a note: "Clifton Truman Daniel riding the rocking horse that Santa Claus brought him for Christmas 1959. When he fell off and started to bawl, former Captain Harry Truman, Battery D, 129th Field Artillery, issued a stern order: "Get back on the horse and ride 'im. Clifton shut up an did as he was told.
