This is a photograph of Bill King, a colleague of E. Clifton Daniel, wearing what appears to be a gas mask and earphones while typing on a manual typewriter. Note on back of photograph reads: "Bill King wearing mask and earphones. The earphones are used for taking calls from distant points while typewriting." Taken while E. Clifton Daniel, Jr. was working in Europe.
