President Harry S. Truman throws out the first pitch at a baseball game between the Washington Senators and Philadelphia Athletics. In the front row, from left to right: Margaret Truman, First Lady Bess W. Truman, President Truman, General Robert Landry, Connie Mack, Vice President Alben Barkley, and Washington Senators manager Bucky Harris. Seated near the center, partly obscured by President Truman is Press Secretary Charles Ross. Standing a few rows directly behind President Truman is Colonel Cornelius Mara (in uniform). All others are unidentified.
