Description

United States Navy seaman Carlos H. Smith suffering with a toothache waits to be transported from the USS Higbee to the USS Manchester for treatment. The commanding officer of the Higbee (unidentified) stands to the left of seaman Smith. These photographs were part of an album entitled "Pictures by R. Admiral Lewis Parks. USS Manchester."
