Description
President Harry S. Truman (standing beside podium) leaves the podium after speaking at Offutt Air Base in Nebraska. He spoke during a meeting with Governors of states effected by the flooding of the Mississippi and Missouri Rivers. Standing behind President Truman are Governor Val Peterson of Nebraska; Elmer Anderson of Minnesota; and Sigurd Anderson of South Dakota. Standing on the floor just next to the corner of the stage is Governor William Beardsley of Iowa. All others in the background are unidentified.
