President Harry S. Truman speaks at a podium during a visit to Omaha, Nebraska to discuss the flooding of the Mississippi and Missouri Rivers. Standing behind him are the Governors of several states effected by the flooding of the rivers. From left to right are: Adlai Stevenson of Illinois; Norman Brunsdale of North Dakota; Val Peterson of Nebraska; Elmer Anderson of Minnesota; Sigurd Anderson of South Dakota; and Walter Kohler of Wisconsin.
