A view of East Mechanic Street near the corner of North Lynn Street in Independence, Missouri, looking towards William Chrisman High School. This photo was taken as part of the planning for the funeral of former President Harry S. Truman. Some attendees of the funeral parked their cars at Chrisman High School and were driven to the ceremony site at the Harry S. Truman Library. This street is part of the route back to the school from the Library. Donor: Terry Van Meter, U. S. Cavalry Museum, Fort Riley, Kansas.
