This is the Kamakura Daibutsu statue of Buddha, cast in bronze in 1252 A.D. at the Kotokuin Temple in Kamakura, Japan. Rear Admiral Lewis S. Parks poses at the bottom right corner. This photo was taken while Rear Admiral Lewis S. Parks served as a Chief of Staff to the Joint Staff of the United Nations.
