Major General Louis W. Truman (center) welcomes Joe DiMaggio (right) and jazz musician "Doc" Marcus (left) to Fort Lewis, Washington. DiMaggio and Marcus were making a tour as representatives of the V.H. Monette Co. which was the number one supplier of merchandise to United States military exchanges around the world.
