Members of the armed services from Fort Meade and Belvoir, some in swimming trunks, relax on the porch and lawn of the Millstone Farm near Burke, Virginia, during a Sunday afternoon party sponsored by the American Newspaper Women's Club of Washington, D.C., as part of "Operation Homefront." The party, including a buffet supper, swimming and dancing, is one of a series of parties held on Sunday afternoons by the Club for enlisted men. The identities of the men are unknown.
