Description
Service men from Fort Meade and Fort Belvoir have no objection to posing for a group photo with actress Shirley Temple at a party given for enlisted men on the Gore estate in Potomac, Maryland, as part of "Operation Homefront." The party, including a buffet supper, swimming and dancing, was sponsored by the American Newspaper Women's Club, Washington, D.C., one of a series of parties held on Sunday afternoons. The identities of the service men are unknown. From: Truman Home. This is from a scrapbook on Operation Homefront.
