Description
Members of the armed services and several volunteers wait outside an unidentified building to board a bus for an outing given by the American Newspaper Women's Club, which will include music, cards, dancing and swimming. The Club, based in Washington, D.C., sponsors a buffet every Sunday afternoon, either at its clubhouse or on a member's estate, as part of "Operation Homefront." From: Truman Home.
