Description
In the southern part of the Vosges in Alsace. This is the foothills of the Alps and is beautiful country. Our first training was on this front. We landed in Saulxures on August 20, 1918. From an album of Lorain H. Cunningham, who served in the 129th Field Artillery during World War I and was a friend of Harry S. Truman.
