Description

Former President Harry S. Truman smiles at surrounding newsmen in his office at the Federal Reserve Bank Building, Kansas City, Missouri, as he holds a news conference on the second anniversary of his departure from the White House. On Truman's desk is a stack of salutatory messages he received on the occasion, the start of his third year as a private citizen.
