President Harry S. Truman (center) arrives at Girard College, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and is immediately surrounded by a crowd of photographers and boys. The President will be attending centennial ceremonies as guest of honor. Girard College was founded by Stephen Girard as a free boarding school for fatherless boys. (See 59-1489-1 thru 32.)
