Description

President Harry S. Truman (second from right) talks with General Lewis A. Pick (third from right), Chief of Engineers, U.S. Army, on a causeway at the top of Fort Peck Dam, Montana, during a stopover on the President's trip to the Pacific Northwest. Anna Dostert can be seen in the background holding on to her hat. The dam was developed for flood control and irrigation of the Upper Mississippi-Missouri River basin.
