President Harry S. Truman (at podium, left) stands with General Lewis A. Pick (on Truman's left), Chief of Engineers, U.S. Army, and Montana Governor John W. Bonner (on Pick's left) at the podium prior to addressing the crowd at Fort Peck Dam, Montana. The dam was developed for flood control and irrigation for the upper Mississippi-Missouri River basin. Bess Truman stands to the left of the podium and daughter Margaret to the right. The others are unidentified. From: Sister Andrea Johnston, SCL, St. Mary College, Leavenworth, Kansas 66048.
