Portrait of General J. Lawton Collins, Army Chief of Staff, who met with President Harry S. Truman on October 4, 1949, at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, when the President visited this installation to review airborne maneuvers as well as to review 20,000 troops and inspect new artillery weapons.
