Further on the matter of representation from the Standing Group at the Meeting of the Council of Deputies in London:

Secretary Acheson talked to Secretary Johnson about this problem yesterday and it was agreed that the three Deputies \(France, US and UK\) would go to London as requested by the Council of Deputies. General Bradley sent a telegram over yesterday afternoon which has been approved by the Secretary and transmitted to Mr. Spofford. This telegram indicates the willingness of the Standing Group to provide this representation.

The telegram had one rather fuzzy point in it. It requested that further communications from the Council of Deputies be submitted to the Standing Group through the Secretary of State and the Secretary of Defense of the US. The Secretary suggested that a follow-up telegram be sent to Mr. Spofford clarifying this particular point.

Mr. Ridgeway Knight and Mr. Perkins know of this and Mr. Knight is drafting such a telegram.
