Schedule for the trip to Dallas
Tuesday, June 13
9:30 a.m. Depart from MATS field
2:00 p.m. Arrive Dallas \(Love Field\). Reception at airport by Mayor and leading citizens.
4:00 p.m. Meeting with press
8:00 p.m. Speech at Auditorium Southern Methodist University under auspices of the Civic Federation of Dallas and the Community Course of Southern Methodist University. Introduction by Senator Connally or, in his absence, Mr. W. L. Clayton. To be followed by a reception given by Mr. and Mrs. E. L. DeGolyer and Mr. and Mrs. George S. McGhee, at the home of the former, in the name of the sponsoring organizations.
Wednesday, June 14
Breakfast with Mr. Paul Carrington and a selected group of Dallas business and professional men, Adolphus Hotel.
Tour of city, including visit to Southern Methodist University and Southwestern Legal Foundation, if desired.
Lunch with Mr. Tom Gooch and Mr. R. G. Storey at which a representative group of Dallas newspaper, civic, business, labor and professional people will be present. Baker Hotel.
No commitment has been made for a speech at either the breakfast or the luncheon, although you will undoubtedly be expected to make a few informal remarks. Each of these affairs will be small, less than 50.
Reservations have been made for your party at the Adolphus Hotel. Mrs. Acheson plans to stay with Mrs. Wayland Sanford, who is making all separate arrangements for her visit.
With you on the trip will be Mrs. Acheson, Mr. and Mrs. McGhee, Mr. McDermott and I. We are also inviting Senator and Mrs. Connally, Speaker Rayburn, Senator Johnson of Texas and Congressman Frank Wilson, who is the Congressman from that district. Senator Johnson cannot go; we do not know at present how many of the others will be on the plane.
