Description
5/8/84. Several news reports on President Harry S. Truman, whose Centennial is today. First, a short report on the Joint Session of Congress with guest Margaret Truman, reported by Bob McBride, Channel 4. Next, NBC Nightly News which includes a report on the wreath-laying ceremony at the Truman Library and remarks by Ardis Haukenberry and May Wallace. This is followed by ABC World News Tonight, which featured a report on the Joint Session of Congress and a brief segment of Margaret Truman’s speech. The McNeill-Lehrer News Report was also included, but with nothing on Truman. This videotape includes the entire NBC and ABC news broadcasts. 3/4-inch videotape.
