Description
5/7/93 to 2/95. Niel Johnson home video of several events from 1993 to 1995. Harry S. Truman Public Service Award presented to David McCullough at the Truman Library, 5/7/93; Independence homes tour, 5/8/93; David McCullough speaks at First Baptist Church of Independence, 5/8/93; Brunch for David McCullough at home of Heraldine Helms (who boarded him when a researcher): Liz Safly, V. G. Johnson, Brent Shondelmeyer, Mary Sue Luff, Sue Gentry, and others are present, 5/9/93; transfer of the Truman farm home in Grandview, Missouri to the National Park Service, and tour of farm home with Martha Ann Swoyer as she describes furniture, etc., 5/8/94; Event in Chicago marking 100th anniversary of the Democratic Convention where Harry S. Truman was selected as the Vice-Presidential nominee, Niel Johnson re-enacting Truman, and Clifton Truman Daniel are guests, 7/94; Niel and V. G. Johnson in Kirkwood, Missouri where Niel re-enacts Truman for an event which included several people dressed in World War II clothing, 2/95. VHS videotape.
