Description
Ca. 1996 TORAH, GIFT TO TRUMAN. Unidentified rabbi lectures on the Torah, which was a gift to President Truman from Chaim Weizmann in 1948. The rabbi is in the museum collection room, and addressing a group of students who are in attendance. Museum staff members Mark Beveridge and Pat Dorsey are also present. VHS. Length: 30 min. HISTORY OF THE WHITE HOUSE August 23, 2001 Program with William Seale at the Harry S. Truman Library. The event is in the auditorium of the Truman Library; introductory remarks by Clay Bauske, museum curator, and Jim Sanders, Superintendent of the Harry S. Truman National Historic Site. William Seale speaks on the history of the White House relating to the Truman administration, then takes questions. There is a new exhibit of Abbie Rowe photos relating to the reconstruction of the White House in the Truman administration. VHS.
