Description
September, 2013 "Hello, Mister President! – A Retrospective On ROC (Taiwan)-U. S. Friendship." A two disc set relating to a conference in Taipei celebrating the friendship between the U. S. and Taiwan. There was an exhibit hosted by the National Archives (to which the Harry S. Truman Library contributed pictures), plus the conference. Disc one highlights the opening of the exhibit, hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs at the National Chiang KaiShek Memorial Hall. The second disc highlights the conference, with speakers Hon. Chiang Shiao-yen, Chairman of the Chinese Nationalist Party; Dr. Yu-ming Shaw, chairman of the Board of the Public Television Service Foundation; Mrs. Mary Jean Eisenhower, Executive Director of the Dwight D. Eisenhower Memorial Commission; Joseph Calvaruso, Executive Director, Gerald R. Ford Presidential Foundation; Dr. Fredrick Chien, former President, Control Yuan; Ambassador Stephen S. F. Chen, National Policy Advisor; and Ambassador William Stanton, Director, Center for Asia Policy, National Tsing Hua University. 2 DVD’s. From: Jack J. C.
