Description
VHS. Film footage (originally from 8mm home movie) of President Harry S. Truman’s visit to Dexter, Iowa on September 18, 1948. This home movie is from Herb Plambeck, who invited President Truman to speak at the plowing match in Dexter. The movie is silent. There is also black and white sound footage of former President Truman’s speech at the dedication of the Herbert Hoover Library in West Branch, Iowa on August 10, 1962. The video of the home movie was donated by Cary Hahn of KGAN-TV inCedar Rapids, Iowa (see VT2013-4).
SD-quality copies of already digitized motion pictures are available for $20, and HD-quality copies of already digitized motion pictures are $50. Copies of motion pictures not already digitized will incur additional costs.
